The Rinnai SENSEI® RX180iN is a high-efficiency condensing tankless water heater designed to provide continuous, on-demand hot water for appropriately sized homes. With a heating range of 15,000 to 180,000 BTU/h and a maximum rated flow of up to 10.0 GPM, it offers dependable performance for households with substantial simultaneous hot-water demand.
Instead of continuously heating water stored in a conventional tank, the RX180iN operates when hot water is required. Its advanced condensing technology captures additional heat from combustion gases, helping the unit achieve a 0.98 Uniform Energy Factor. ENERGY STAR® certification further supports efficient operation and reduced standby energy loss.
Rinnai Smart Sense™ adaptive gas-valve technology allows the RX180iN to operate with either natural gas or propane without requiring a separate conversion kit. This fuel flexibility simplifies product selection while allowing the installer to configure the unit for the available household gas supply.
The compact wall-mounted cabinet measures approximately 30.11 inches high, 18.5 inches wide and 11.4 inches deep. It can be installed indoors or converted for outdoor installation using the separately sold Versa-Vent™ outdoor vent-cap accessory, providing greater flexibility for different home layouts.
The RX180iN is recirculation capable and can support a compatible hot-water recirculation system for faster hot-water delivery when properly designed. Wi-Fi compatibility also allows integration with supported Rinnai controls and accessories. Rinnai’s Smart Connect™ technology helps qualified installers complete setup and registration through the Rinnai Central™ app, while the Quick Flush™ design simplifies periodic system maintenance.
