The Rinnai SENSEI® RX199iN is a high-capacity condensing tankless water heater designed to provide continuous, on-demand hot water for appropriately sized homes and demanding domestic hot-water applications. With a heating range of 15,000 to 199,000 BTU/h and a maximum rated flow of up to 11.1 GPM, it is the most powerful model in the Rinnai RX series.
Unlike a conventional storage tank that continually maintains a supply of heated water, the RX199iN operates when hot water is required. Its advanced condensing technology captures additional heat from combustion gases, helping the system achieve an efficient 0.98 Uniform Energy Factor while reducing standby energy losses.
Rinnai Smart Sense™ adaptive gas-valve technology allows the RX199iN to operate with either natural gas or propane without requiring a separate conversion kit. The system can be configured by a qualified installer for the available household fuel supply, providing greater installation flexibility.
The compact wall-mounted cabinet measures approximately 30.11 inches high, 18.5 inches wide and 11.4 inches deep. It can be installed indoors or converted for outdoor installation using the separately sold Versa-Vent™ outdoor vent-cap accessory, making it suitable for a wide range of residential layouts.
The RX199iN is recirculation capable and can support a compatible hot-water recirculation system for faster hot-water delivery when properly designed. It is also Wi-Fi capable for integration with supported Rinnai controls and accessories. Smart Connect™ helps qualified installers complete system setup and registration through the Rinnai Central™ app, while Quick Flush™ simplifies periodic maintenance.
